Antique Upholstery

Here is a project that was recently completed for our customers on the South Hill in Spokane.  The frame needed a little bit of strengthening which we did in our shop and then our Furniture refinisher was called into do some repair.  All the padding came off, that is what is piled under the sofa.  We then retied the springs both in the seat and back.  New padding was then put on.  The fabric is a beautiful velvet, Amboise Crimson, from Latimer Alexander.  We finished the trim around the exposed wood with double welt.  

This was a fun project for the crew to be involved with.  These are the types of pieces of furniture that keep us in business.  We always say "You cant replace Grandma's rocker" or in this case her favorite old sofa.
